The Colorado Springs Alumni Chapter is having their second annual rafting trip. It will be June 26th from 9am - 3pm. We are camping out the night before if anyone is interested. Then the day of, we will raft Big Horn Sheep Canyon, which is 14miles long, then stop for lunch, and then finish rafting the Royal Gorge. The cost is $79, which was negotiated down $15. We will order off the menu and will have separate checks.
Spouses/guests are welcome.
The Social & Happy Hour begins at 5:30 PM.
Nancy L. Buck from Edward Jones will speak at 6:00.
Dinner orders placed at 6:30.
Please bring items needed by Sox Place.
Community Service Project Update
As Brother Howell mentioned, the Denver Alumni Chapter is again helping out Sox Place with a number of items. For the November 5 meeting, we will be collecting the following items: Dried pasta, macaroni, and egg noodles, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, cream of mushroom soup, dried or canned pinto beans, and zip lock bags.
At the Holiday Event on December 3, we will be collecting coats, white tube socks, winter gloves, winter hats, blankets, sleeping bags, and personal hygiene products.
